Murals
Here are some selected murals I have worked on. Unless stated otherwise, these are solo projects.
Walkerworld Organic Artist Retreat
Near Castle Hayne, NC
Aunt Betty's Bar Mural, Raleigh, NC
This project made the cover of Raleigh Magazine, "Raleigh's Best Bars" issue just as the pandemic hit. As a result we were unable to have the planned artist opening for the mural, but the artwork is the objective in the end.
Battleship Camo
Off of Greenfield Street and 3rd on the Train Tracks. Wilmington, NC.
Gyres, Expo 216, Wilmington, NC
This acrylic on wood panel exhibit was meant to be a portable installation for ocean conservation exhibits that raise awareness of plastics pollution throughout the world's oceans. I designed the abstract continents so they are recognizable but interesting in their form. The panels show the five major rotating gyres of plastic pollution found in the world's oceans. Recent observations of plastic pollution are becoming more alarming and will require extensive effort to reverse. I thrive in art with a larger purpose designed to be thought provoking, like this installation!
GRiZMAS in July Beach Party, Carolina Beach, NC
GRiZ commissioned beach party mural. GRiZ concert on the beach was a benefit for Ocean Cure. A fun and worthy entertaining concert hit all the buttons!
Native Life, T & W Oyster Bar, Peletier, NC
All four sides of the building were painted depicting sea scapes and wildlife.
